Jesse DeWitt Knight, Jr. 84 of Madison, died at his home on December 11, 2018.  Mr. Knight was a native of Lake Butler, FL.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Knight served in the Korean War.  He was retired as a forester, having worked for International Paper Company and Evergreen.  Mr. Knight was a member of Madison First United Methodist Church.  He loved his farm and his cows.  He enjoyed watching hummingbirds feed and seeing ducks on his pond.

DeWitt Knight is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gussie and their children, Donna Conner & Bruce, Bill Knight and Deanna Nunn & David.  His grandchildren are Emily Nowlen & Randy, Allen Conner and Peyton Nunn.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 2PM at the Madison City Cemetery.  A reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church.

‚ÄčIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison First United Methodist Church.

Prayers, hugs and much love to the family. So very close to this wonderful family! Deanna is like a sister, Mama Knight and Daddy Knight. Spent alot of time with them in younger, school years. Please know that I love each of you and am praying for the family.
