Melody Guinn, 49 of Rutledge, died March 30, 2020.  She is survived by her husband, Bryan Guinn and children, Codie Freeman, Bryan Guinn, Jr. and John Guinn.  She leaves her siblings, Robert Duncan, Mike Corsey and Melissa Brown. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private committal service will be held.   Please remember the family in your prayers and send a card or give them a call.

Fay Brown Mitchem, 91 of Madison, died March 24, 2020.  Mrs. Mitchem was the daughter of the lateJames and Carrie Hensley Brown.  She was married to the late C.W. Barbara Jean Porter Vickery, 72 of Madison, died March 22, 2020.  Mrs. Vickery was the daughter of the late Murray Eugene Porter and Alma Herrington Porter.  She was born December 27, 1947 in Fitzgerald, GA.  She later married the late Bobby Vickery.  Mrs. Vickery was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was retired from CVS where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician.  She enjoyed crossword and jig-saw puzzles and was a devoted UGA Bulldog fan. Mr. Carl Sims, 90 of Rutledge, died March 11, 2020.  He was born on May 21, 1929 in Maysville, GA to Henry and Julie Hooper Sims.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars and later retired from the Army.  He was married to the late Eunice Stewart Sims.  Mr. Sims was a devoted Christian and husband.  He was a committed soldier and proud veteran.  He enjoyed fishing and cooking and singing.  Many people were the beneficiaries of Mr....

Betty Lou Hilsman, age 79, passed away on March 11, 2020.  She was born February 18, 1941 in Redondo Beach, CA.  She and her brother, Ted, moved to Gypsum, KS when she was four years old to live with her grandparents.  She married Robert T Hilsman, Jr. on September 20, 1957. William Michael Shoptaw, 43, of Madison, Georgia passed away suddenly from a cardiac event following surgery on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
