Willie Richard Porter, Sr. of Madison, died May 13, 2020. Richard was born September 7, 1934 in Dry Pond, GA to Dave and Maggie Porter. He was retired as a truck driver. Richard was preceded in death by a son, Kent Porter, and a step-son , James Colley; Three brothers; His first wife, Gracie Porter and his second wife, Ruby Nell Porter. Also 3 grandsons, Michael Brown, Sanjay Kar and Stephen Marlow and finally 1 great grandson Keynun Williams.

Richard Porter is survived by He is survived by a wife Linda Porter; Five kids, Daisy White, Tinie Chernick, Polly Porter, Willie “June Bug” Porter and Johnnie Colley; Nine grandchildren, Ann Marie Porter, Marvin Stone, Christopher Anglin, Loretta Anglin, Joshua Motes, Pierce Motes ( Peanut ), and two step-grandchildren Thomas Colley and TanyaLynn Colley; Thirteen great grandchildren Michael Porter, Thomas, Brittany and Shane Richie, Tyler and Jodie Stone, Mackenzie and Hadyen Marlow, Tristan Taylor, Evangeline, Solaris and Lillith Motes and Molly Jernigan; Six great-great grandchildren; and nephew Eric ( Yolonda )Porter and Anthony (Cindi) Jenkins; and 1 honoree grandson Trey Jernigan.

A private graveside service was held at the Almand Cemetery.
