William Scott Benedict

William Scott Benedict, 61, of Valdosta Georgia died unexpectedly on December 1st, 2023. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Scott was born on May 15th, 1962 to Ralph & Barbara Benedict in Atlanta, Georgia. Scott Graduated from Heritage High School in Conyers Georgia in 1980.

Survived by his wife Lorie Benedict, Daughter Meredith Jordan Jackson, Son-in-law Zack Jackson, and grandson Cohen Jackson, Father Buna Ralph Benedict Jr., Sister Kim Melcolm.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Reynolds Benedict.

Everyone who knew Scott, knew how close he was with “Pop” Ralph Benedict. For the last 10 years Scott called his dad every single day between 4-6 PM without fail. When he was not working he spent a lot of his time traveling to see his Grandchild Cohen and his daughter Jordan in Auburn Georgia. Scott’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

There will be a visitation with the family held from 3-5 PM, on December 14th at A.E. Carter Funeral Home in Madison Georgia.
