Wilbur Lee “Sonny” Bohlen, Jr., 75 of Madison, died on December 4, 2022. Mr. Bohlen was born in Madison on June 5, 1947 to Wilbur and Della Mae Young Bohlen. Fifty-eight years ago, he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Sidwell. Together, they raised two children, Michelle and Lee. Mr. Bohlen was a devoted member and deacon of Apalachee Baptist Church. He operated Bohlen’s Garage since 1962 along with his son, Lee.
Wilbur Bohlen is survived by his wife, Linda S. Bohlen and children, Michelle B. Peters & Jeff and Lee Bohlen & Christy. He also leaves grandchildren, Virginia Kate Bohlen, Jessica Brown and Maggie Wood & Brandon. Mr. Bohlen has one brother, Mack Bohlen & Kay as well as nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7 from 11:30 AM until 1 PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Apalachee Cemetery.
