Wade Leslie Rigsby, Sr.

Wade Leslie Rigsby, Sr. (86) of Eatonton, Georgia passed away on August 16, 2021. He was surrounded by his family who will greatly miss him. Wade was born in Catlettsburg, Kentucky on March 20, 1935 to the late James Henry and Ella Howard Rigsby. He had 9 brothers and sisters. Wade was a veteran who proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He also was a member of the American Legion in Madison, Georgia. He retired from General Motors Company after 30 years in 1985. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and travel, as well as being a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a peace-loving and giving man with a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane Rigsby, and children Charles Rigsby (Phyllus) of Monticello, Leslie Rigsby (Debbie) of Buford, and Rhonda Rigsby-Stamps (Lee) of Henry County; granddaughters Amanda Ray (Stevie) and Devon Rigsby (Bruce Dobson); five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; his brother James Rigsby (Peggy) of Madison and his sister Sue Tucker of Madison. Wade was preceded in death by his sisters and brother: Clara, Pat, Betty, Loretta, Richard, Alice, and Linda.
