Vicky Lynn (Malcom) Vanwhy

Vicky Lynn Malcom Vanwhy, of Madison, died December 16, 2021.  Vicky was born to James Malcom and Betty Jo Malcom Smith in Madison. Vicky attended Morgan County school systems and graduated from Morgan County High before attending bible college.

Vicky worked various jobs in her younger life but her devotion to her children was always her top priority. Vicky was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grammy. She had a bright personality and always made people around her laugh and she never met a stranger. 

Vicky is predeceased by her son, James Vanwhy and parents, James Malcom and Betty Jo Malcom smith. She is survived by her children Justin Vanwhy (Christy), Jeanna Tyner (kyle) and Julia Schillaci (Jason) and her grandchildren Malcom, Bryce, Joshua, Lexi, Connor, Cameron, and Carter. She is also survived by her sisters Brenda Smith, Cindy Smith, Barby Riffle, and Rhonda Bumgarner.  Also, her fur babies, Tux and Lila.

Vicky enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters.  She especially loved her sister trips to the beach. She loved the ocean. She cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. 

Vicky’s devotion to her faith was undeniably intact. She was baptized in the Apalachee River the same day as her sister, Rhonda. Vicky carried her faith daily and passed this along to her children.

We, her children will forever be grateful for every sacrifice, every lesson, every moment we shared with our Mama. Without a doubt you will be missed daily, with every passing thought you are undeniably unforgettable. All of our love forever and more. 

A memorial service was held on Monday, December 19 at Fusion Church of Madison.
