Our beloved, Theresa Ann Binder, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023. She was at her home surrounded by her family.
Teri was born on March 18, 1957, in Memphis TN. She is the daughter of the late LCDR Raymond Alois Binder and Naomi Ryan Binder.
Teri was a 1975 graduate of South Dade Sr. High School, Homestead FL. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon GA and Florida International University in Miami.
Dow Chemical, Midland MI, hired her as a chemist, immediately after college graduation. She spent most of her career in Midland, but eventually transferred to Dow in Marietta GA. Quite a few years after her retirement, she moved to Madison GA.
Teri's passions were being a majorette and playing the clarinet in her Jr. High and High School Marching Bands. She also loved dogs. She always had at least one. She loved traveling and cruising, taking many fabulous trips with family and friends. A few years ago she took up quilting. She made many beautiful quilts.
Teri was committed to her Catholic faith. She was always active in her local church.
Teri is survived by her sisters Debra Lindsay (Don); Sue Nix ( Jim); Karen Grant (Barry); Joan Diffee (Mike); her brothers Scott Binder (Debbie); Eric Binder (Chandra); many nieces and nephews and their children.
In addition to her parents, Teri was preceded in death by her nephew Michael "Chad" Diffee.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church, 562 Vine St., Madison GA, 30650. A reception will immediately follow.
Interment will be on a later date at Honey Creek Woodlands, Conyers GA.
