Terry McMichael

Robert (Terry) Terrell McMichael Jr. passed away on February 2, 2023.

Terry was born August 10, 1942 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Robert Terrell and Mildred Cromer McMichael.  

Terry graduated from Clemson University in 1964 with a BS in Textile Management. He soon thereafter married the love of his life, Donna Cox McMichael, and they proceeded to fully embrace a life together and build a family as he worked as a sales/marketing executive in the textile industry. They lived in numerous US cities before settling in Madison, Georgia in 1981. Terry retired from Wellington Puritan Mills.

He is predeceased by his adored wife. He is survived by two children Lisa Richter (Fritz) and Trey McMichael (Jodie) and sister-in-law Joyce Lowe (Larry).  He loved being “Poppy” and will be greatly missed by Kathryn Hart (Ed) and Allison Richter, Ben and Ryan McMichael (Maggie), Sara and Zach Moore, Clara and Thomas White, and Madison Hardy. Sadly, Terry’s first great grandchild, Eleanor Jane Hart, was born three days after his passing.

The family would like to thank The Madison Assisted Living facility for their loving care and special attention provided Terry since his wife passed. The family would also like to specifically thank his wonderful daily caregiver Linda Williams. She is a joy and a blessing to our family.

A family graveside service celebrating his life was held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Madison Georgia.
