Terry Greenway Obituary

Terry S. Greenway, 66 of Winterville died March 3, 2021.

Mrs. Greenway was the daughter of the late Glenn E. Seavers, Sr. and Katherine H. Seavers of Madison, Georgia.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Glenn E. Seavers, Jr.

Born in Indiana, Mrs. Greenway moved to Morgan County when her father became a manager at Morgan Sportwear and owner of Oynk Embroidery & Monograming Co. in Rutledge.   She attended Morgan County High School where she met her loving husband of 47 years, Melvin Greenway. She worked in the medical field starting as a medical assistant, then became a medical transcriptionist in the Pathology Department at Roper Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina before relocating to Winterville, Georgia. She loved anything involving the beach especially collecting shells, crafts, and to say she had a green thumb would be an understatement.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Greenway of Winterville; daughter Rachel (Matthew) Grimes of Athens, nephews Glenn E. Seavers III of Athens and Michael (Laura) Seavers of Fortson as well as her extended family of in-laws.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2 PM at Faith Memorial Gardens.

A.E. Carter Funeral Home in Madison, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Since she was an avid animal lover, memorials may be made to Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Rd, Danielsville, GA 30633. She loved all flowers especially daffodils if you prefer flowers.
