Roy Steven Wells, “Steve”, took steps through heavens gates where he was met by his son Gregory Steven Wells and his parents Wendell and Redeatha Creamer Wells. Steve was born in Reidsville , Ga. July 29, 1953. He was the eldest sibling of two. He graduated from Wayne County High School with the class of 1971. Steve lived most of his adult life in Odum , Ga where he raised his family and was an active member of the community. He joined the family business, Wells Roofing Company, alongside his father until taking ownership in 2008. After retirement in 2021 Steve made the move to Eatonton Ga to live out his dream of the Lake Life at Lake Oconee with his wife of 19 years Connie. Steve joined Ace Hardware In Eatonton to fill some of his days where he enjoyed helping others. Steve enjoyed fishing, boating, building, all outdoor activities, and spending time with his family and friends. In his downtime he liked to watch his Westerns from his favorite chair and end his days reading passages from his bible.
As a father, husband, brother, and friend Steve leaves behind his wife Connie Carden Wells, her daughter Kelli (Bob) Hurd, Aubrey, Luke, and Chole Hurd and son Jeffrey (Mollie) Carden. A daughter Nicole Wells Westberry and husband Michael along with his eldest grandson Kolton Westberry. A son Nicholas Steven Wells and Grandson Nash Steven Wells. A sibling Wendy Thornton and many cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 11, 2026 at AE Carter Funeral Home at 11 AM. Join us as we honor Steve’s life in the sharing of fond memories and fellowship.
