Sarah Spivey Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Spivey, 23, of Greensboro, GA, lost her battle with several ongoing health issues and passed away at her home on April 29th, 2026.

Family and friends remember her as a very kind and gentle soul who loved Jesus, her family, and her dear friends. Her kindness and generosity led her to raise thousands of dollars for causes close to her heart. She also donated her jewelry creations and benefited many charities such as her church, First Call Pregnancy Center, ATLAS, and Young Life. She very much enjoyed her work as a nurse, taking the care of her patients very seriously.

When not caring for patients, Sarah enjoyed tending to our large family garden. She was not shy about moving heavy wheelbarrows full of garden materials around our yard. She took great pride in making the yard beautiful. She was such a loving, warm, and creative daughter.

When Sarah was younger, she attended 4-H Club activities in Madison as part of her homeschool curriculum. One day, her instructor brought in jewelry-making supplies, not realizing this would spark a creative interest that shaped a large part of her life. She began making angel earrings to give as gifts. After encouragement from others, she started a small business selling her jewelry. In her early teens, she launched Spivey Jewelry at a festival in the small town of Buckhead. Some of Sarah’s fondest memories were the times she spent travelling up and down the East Coast, vending her designs at craft fairs and festivals. As she continued to create more beautiful and intricate pieces, she also learned how to manage and run a business. Sarah frequently stressed that she wanted to give back to the community through her jewelry, and she was on the team that worked with First Call Pregnancy Center to raise funds through a yearly fashion show. Over the five years she was involved, more than $100,000 was raised for the organization. It gave her great joy to share her gift with family and friends. Many people will continue to enjoy Sarah’s beautiful creations, and it is our sincere hope that each time you reach for a piece she made just for you, you will smile and remember her fondly.

Sarah loved water skiing and riding her ElliptiGO bike. She also enjoyed riding horses and competing in endurance racing. At the age of 16, she drove the family Sprinter van pulling a trailer full of horses all the way to Montana to compete. Racing brought her so much joy. But from there, Sarah moved on to attend college and to grow her jewelry business.

Sarah loved her younger brothers, Luke and Daniel, even while they battled over that last piece of cake or chocolate… Sarah loved chocolate. Though she was always slim, she did have quite a sweet tooth!

Sarah was home schooled along with her brothers, which deepened their bond and brought them closer together as a family.

Sarah is survived by her parents, brothers Luke and Daniel, Glenn and Candi (Spivey) Young & family, Cadley and Sadie Spivey & family, Frances (Mullins) Garrison & children, Karen Mullins & children, Darrell and Suzanne Mullins & children, Greg and Juanita (Mullins) Pendley & family, Jeff & Jamie Mullins and a multitude of cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents Jerry Allen & Vivian Spivey of Douglas, Lester Eugene (L.E.) &  Patricia Lee Mullins of Mansfield,  and uncles Leslie Wayne Mullins of Rutledge, and Arthur Wayne Garrison of Bostwick.

Sarah was honored at a well-attended Celebration of Life at Lakeside Church, Greensboro, GA, on Monday, May 4th, 2026, followed by a luncheon reception. The Celebration was officiated by Pastors Kevin Magness and Stephen Chambers. Music was provided by the Hawkins family of fine musicians and Levi Chambers.
