Sara Frances Watts Morris, Our beloved mother, passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 88. Mother
was born on April 3, 1936, in Talladega Co., Alabama. She was preceded in death by the love of her life
William Jefferson Morris, parents Joseph Edgar Watts and Selena Goodwin Watts, Sisters: Shirley Watts
Womack, Patricia Watts, Brothers: Lowell Watts, Melvin Watts and Lester Watts.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her surviving family: her children: Vickie Merritt,
Dennis Roberts (Debbie), Rita Sikes and Leisa Jackson (Perry), along with her 9 Grandchildren, 23 Great
Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Additionally her bonus family Benita Watkins (Ricky),
Mary Lou Garner, Jean Greenway (Crawford) and Jeff Morris (Beverly) which also includes numerous
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Surviving siblings: Lois Ruth Blackerby
and Rebecca (Becky) Ashley and many other family and friends.
Mother retired from Sears where she spent many years working hard and setting an example to those
around her. She cherished each and every moment she had with every person she came in contact with.
Mother will be remembered for her passion for her family, her faith, incredible strength and the love
that she shared with everyone in her life.
Visitation will be held at A.E. Carter Funeral Home, 1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA, Thursday August 15,
2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by 1:30 Graveside service at Madison City Cemetery
