Sara Hill

Sara Martin Hill, 82 of Rutledge, passed away on May 7, 2026 at Abbey Hospice.  Mrs. Hill was born December 11, 1943 in Statham to Harold and Myrtle Martin.  She was the wife of Rev. Wilburn Hill.  Mrs. Hill retired from Amerigas.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and supportive wife of her pastor husband.  She was a member of Rutledge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband, Rev. Wilburn Hill and her two sons, Tim Hill (Jenni) and Stephen Hill (Jenny).  Her grandchildren are Savannah Hill (Lilly), Hagen E’Dalgo (Mackenzie), Savannah Marks (Tucker), Carin McMillian (Josh), Kailyn Kiefaber, Laney Hill and Anna Kate Hill.  Her great-grandchildren are Brinley Marks, Hollyn Marks and Wyatt Nguyen.  Mrs. Hill also leaves a sister, Joann Bennett and a brother Wayne Martin as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12 from 10 AM until 1 PM at Centennial Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be held at 1 PM.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
