Sandra Ellen (Hunter) Richardson

Sandra Hunter Richardson, 69 of Rutledge, passed away on April 15, 2025 at Abbey Hospice.   She was born August 3, 1955 in Summerville, GA to John and Fannie Mae Hunter.  Sandra worked for over 20 years as a nurse and enjoyed caring for others.  She enjoyed trips to the mountains but preferred to be home with her family. 

Sandra is survived by her husband, Mike Richardson.  She also leaves children, Anthony Wayne Mitchell & Amanda, Charles “Chuck” Mitchell & Michelle, Thomas Gregory Mitchell, Jennifer Thomason & Michael and Justin Richardson.  She also leaves nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and 3 nieces. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5-8 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 2 PM at Union Chapel Church Cemetery in Monroe.
