Roy King Obituary

Roy Lynn King, 80 of Rutledge, died April 15, 2021. Roy was born November 25, 1940 in Elizabethtown, NC to Roy Lee King and Mary Eva Cain King. He was married to the late Doris Hendrix. He worked for Underwriters Laboratories as an inspector. He attended Centennial Baptist Church. Roy was an avid golfer and enjoyed many days spent on the course. He also loved his property and time spent caring for it.

Roy King was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Doris H. King and a sister, Eva Leigh King. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Sara Taylor and Ruth Poole and a brother-in-law, Jerry Poole. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

A private graveside service will be held.
