Rosemary Parks went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2024. She went peacefully in her sleep. Rosemary was born in Anderson, SC. She was raised in Forest Park, GA and was a cheerleader at Forest Park High. She met her husband in 1966 and was married for 57 years to Richard Parks. They moved to Madison in 1998 from Gwinnett and have enjoyed the small town and friendly atmosphere.
Rosemary and Rick are a couple that were truly one, the best of friends, and did everything together. Rosemary had a big heart and was always looking for kind things to do for people. Her personality was like sunshine and brought a smile to people's faces. She loved country crafts and a simple country home. The most outstanding part of Rosemary was her simple Christian faith, which was evident in the way she lived and shared her life.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Calhoun. She is survived by her husband, Richard Parks, and sister, Deloris Rains.
Rosemary will be remembered by many friends and neighbors, and especially her husband.
There will be a graveside service for her at 1:00 PM on November 22, 2024 in the Madison City cemetery. A.E. Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
