Obituary

Ronald Williams Seay, 75 of Rutledge, passed away on July 16, 2023.  Ronnie was the son of William Blanton Seay and Edith Biggers Seay.  He was born in Gwinnett County on December 3, 1947.  Ronnie served in the U.S. Navy for four years.  He attended Dekalb Technical College and went to work for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.  He spent his career there, retiring from GBI headquarters as Assistant Deputy Director.  Ronnie was married to his late wife, Dale Clark Seay.  They raised three children together.  Upon retirement, they moved to Rutledge.  Here, the Seay family became active members of Centennial Baptist Church.  Ronnie loved the outdoors.  He liked to hunt, fish and camp.  He was a lifelong UGA Bulldog fan and a devoted family man.

Ronnie Seay is survived by his three children, Julie Brand (Hansel), Jenny Bell (Allen) and Jeff Seay (Kristen).  He is survived by grandchildren, Sophie, Chloe and Zoey Brand, Brody and Bryce Bell and Tyler, Evan, Michael and Fletcher Seay.  He also leaves two siblings, Don Seay and Shirley Reece.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Dale and a grandson, Andrew Seay.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 till 11:00 AM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM at Centennial Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at the Centennial Baptist Church Cemetery.
