Robert Eugene Fears, Sr.

Robert Eugene Fears, Sr., 84, of Madison GA, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.

Bob was born February 14, 1937, in Madison, GA.  He married Elizabeth Belcher, and together they raised three children and enjoyed five grandchildren. Bob was a graduate of Morgan County High School and the University of Georgia.  He was an avid golf and tennis player, and was a supporter of all UGA athletics.   His gentle demeanor and sweet smile put everyone around him at ease.  Bob was a true southern gentleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Clay Fears, and his two brothers, Thomas Fears and Clay Fears.  He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, and his three children, Laura Ellen, Robert Fears, Jr. (Wendy,) and Amy Atkinson (Kyle,) and 5 wonderful grandchildren, Mary Caitlyn, Robert Evan (Lauren,) Robert Owen, Kristen Claire, and Benjamin Christopher.

A memorial service will be  held Monday, February 7th at Madison Presbyterian Church at 1:30 PM.  A private graveside service will held by the family.
