Richard Corry Nunnally

Richard Corry Nunnally, Sr, 85 of Madison, died February 19, 2021.  Mr. Nunnally was born in Morgan County on January 18, 1936 to Addison and Verda Mae Barnett Nunnally.  He was married to Helen Anglin in 1955.  They made their home 

and raised their children in Morgan County.  Mr. Nunnally was a member of Beacon Heights Baptist Church.  He was retired from Clark Equipment where he worked as a technician.  Mr. Nunnally enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially grilling.  He was a long-time servant at Beacon Heights, having served as a Sunday School teacher, RA leader and a deacon.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.  He especially liked watching his grandsons participate in athletics.

Mr. Nunnally is survived by his wife, Helen Anglin Nunnally; daughter, Vickie McClain (Royce) and son, Richard C. “Ritchie” Nunnally, Jr (Sandy).  His grandchildren are Stephen Royce McClain and wife, Carrie, Chad Matthew McClain and wife, Stacey, John Blaine Nunnally and Brooklyn Olivia Nunnally.  The great grandchildren are Dawson, Reagan, Luke and Reese McClain.  He also leaves one niece, Janet Nunnally Cronic (David).  Mr. Nunnally was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Nunnally, a brother, William E. Nunnally and a nephew, Gene Nunnally.

The funeral service was held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Beacon Heights Baptist Church.  Interment followed at the Madison City Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Stephen, Chad and Dawson McClain, David Cronic, Jr, Keith Jones, Michael Nabors, Luke McClain and Blaine McClain.
