Richard Alan Akins

Richard Alan Akins, 69 of Rutledge, died December 30, 2021 after an extended illness.  Mr. Akins was born in Atlanta on March 10, 1952 to Herbert and Doris Grover Akins.  He was retired as body shop manager. 

Mr. Akins is survived by his wife Teresa “Ree” Kimbell Akins and their daughters, Tiffany Markley and Kristy Williams & Daniel.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Lottie Mae Williams and Ford Walker Williams.  Mr. Akins also leaves a brother, Bobby and wife, Carol as well as nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced later.
