Rex Duane Robertson

Rex Duane Robertson, 89 of Rutledge, passed away on August 2, 2025.He was the son of Augustus and Ruth Robertson.  Mr. Robertson was born in Lithonia on August 23, 1935 and lived most of his life there.  He worked for and retired from Kraft Foods. Mr. Robertson also installed security systems and was a licensed electrician. He was married to the late Shirley Abbott Robertson.  After her passing, Mr. Robertson moved to Monticello where he joined New Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Later, he moved to Rutledge, to be closer to family.  Mr. Robertson was a devoted Christian, husband and father.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer and turkey hunting.

Rex Robertson is survived by his children, Libby Young & Neil and Barry Robertson & Joan. He leaves grandchildren, Justin Young & Beth and Krista Laster & Josh.  His great grandchildren are Faith, Ava and Cecelia Young and Harlee and Luke Laster.

A graveside service will be held at Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Sunday, August 10 at 3 PM
