Paul Dennis Shumake

Paul Dennis Shumake, 74 of Madison, died May 14, 2022.  He was born in Carrolton, GA on July 13, 1947 to Elton and Dora Gentry Shumake.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  During this time, Mr. Shumake was injured and received the Purple Heart.  He was married to Connie Moorhead and was retired.  Mr. Shumake was a member of Madison Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon, sang in the choir and rang with the hand bell choir.  He was active on the worship committee and was always punctual.

Paul Shumake is survived by his wife, Connie and two daughters, Colleen Kimsey and Christie Shumake.  He leaves grandchildren, Bryson, Brynlee, Brayden and Brooklyn Burke and Jameson Kimsey.  He also leaves a sister, Phyllis Mayfield.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Madison Presbyterian Church.  A reception will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Program at Madison Presbyterian Church.
