Morgan Beckham

Morgan Beckham, 73 of Madison, passed away suddenly on February 5, 2025.  Morgan was born in Madison on September 2, 1951 to the late, John and Rose Davis Beckham.  He graduated from Morgan County High School in 1969.  From 1970-1976, he served in the Army National Guard.  He also worked as a teenager at the “peach shed”.  Morgan married Ellen Hanes in 1991.  They worked and raised their two sons here.  As an adult, Morgan worked at Madison Hardware, Richter-Cochran and most recently at Bard Manufacturing.  Morgan was a member of Madison Baptist Church.  He was a craftsman, enjoying woodworking, welding and even growing orchids.  Morgan loved his family and especially enjoyed time with his grandson, Bentley.

Morgan Beckham is survived by his wife, Ellen and sons, Davis Beckham and Jackson Beckham (Abbey).  Morgan leaves a grandson, Bentley as well as two brothers, Roger Beckham (Lynn) and Bill Beckham.  He also leaves brother and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the service.
