Milton Eugene Wynn, Jr. (Gene), 89 of Madison, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19 from 5-7 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday in the chapel at 2 PM. A private committal service will follow.
Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and devoted friend to many. He was born in Hahira, GA in 1926. Gene served in the Navy in World War II, married Ann Cocroft in 1951 and moved to Apalachee in 1952 with Ann. He worked locally while helping with the old Sturgis/Cocroft farm, owner by Ann's mother Ms. Maude Cocroft, located between Apalchee and Bostwick. Gene, Ann and Chip subsequently moved to Hollywood, FL in 1962 where Gene enjoyed a successful career as a partner in a Food Brokerage Firm. In 1976, Gene and family moved back to the old family farm, later retiring in Madison. Over the years he was a active member of the Lions Club and local American Legion post.
Gene is survived by his wife of 64 years Ann Cocroft Wynn, son Milton E. Wynn, III (Chip) and his wife Cathy Shuknecht Wynn of Hummelstown, PA, Granddaughter, Courtney Wynn Jenks her husband Erik Jenks of Chestnut Hill, PA and Granddaughter Ashley Wynn of Ardmore, PA
