Melissa Lundy, born in 1968 in Monticello, Georgia, to Jerry and Louise Sanders, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for her family and community.
Melissa was united in marriage to her husband, Tony Lundy, with whom she built a life centered on family and care for others. She worked faithfully as a mail carrier, a role that reflected her reliability and the connections she cherished within her community.
A devoted member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Melissa’s faith was an important part of her life. She found joy in learning, caring for animals, and reaching out to others—especially through her thoughtful ministry of sending handmade cards to brighten the days of nursing home residents.
Melissa was also known for her tremendous sense of humor, often lifting the spirits of those around her with a kind word or a lighthearted joke. Her laughter was a gift she shared freely, bringing comfort and joy to family, friends, and all who knew her.
Above all, Melissa treasured her family. She is survived by her children: Alex Lundy, Lauren Sanders, Nathan Lundy, and Megan Lundy, who will carry forward her warmth, compassion, and spirit of generosity.
The family asks that you come May 9th at 1:00 PM to Cornerstone Christian Church, Madison, GA to remember the life of Melissa Lundy.
