Melinda (Harter) Youngblood

Melinda Harter Youngblood of Bishop, GA passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.  Family and friends grieve the loss of this wonderful person who will be remembered for her gentleness, thoughtfulness, kindness and compassion.

Melinda was born On December 16, 1964 in Roanoke, VA to Melvin and Violet Harter.  She was a graduate of Newton County High School and the University of Georgia Pharmacy School.  She met her loving husband Todd at UGA and they were happily married for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband Todd Youngblood, parents Melvin and Violet Harter, sister Melissa Bowden (John), nieces Rachel and Sarah Bowden, sister in law Jackie Youngblood Sturgill (Jim), brother in law Scott Youngblood (Sandra), niece Cecily Youngblood Pennington (Brooks), great nephew Brooks Maddox Pennington IV, great niece Mary Frances Youngblood, nephew Evan Youngblood (Claudia).

Donations in Melinda's memory may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation which was close to her heart or any humane society of your choice as she loved animals.

Services will be held at A E Carter Funeral Home in Madison, GA and at gravesite at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
