Mary (Karakos) Bruce

Mary Karakos Bruce, 63 of Madison, passed away on August 16, 2025 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Mike and Nancy Powell Karakos.  Mary was married to the late David Bruce, Sr.  She is remembered for her years operating the Apalachee Bait Shop.

Mary Bruce is survived by two sons, Jason Bruce and Thomas Bruce.  She also leaves grandchildren: Carley Welch, Logan Logan Bruce, Lilyann Bruce, Lacey Bruce, Wesley Bruce, Landon Bruce, Spencer Bragg and Kathryn Hutchison.  Also surviving are two brothers, Terry and Zach Karakos.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bruce, Sr and a son, David Bruce, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 11 am till Noon.  A graveside service will follow at the family cemetery.
