Martha Frances (White) Franks

Mrs. Martha Frances Franks, 98 of Madison, passed away peacefully at her home.  She was surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.  Mrs. Franks was born in Horn Lake, MS on February 25, 1926.  She was the daughter of George Veston White and Martha Anderson White. She was married to the late, Jack Franks.  They made their home in the Memphis area of Tennessee where Mrs. Franks worked in the corporate offices of the Kroger Corporation.  Following Mr. Franks passing, "Sissy" moved to Madison to be near her sister and other family.

Mrs. Franks was preceded in death by her parents George and Martha White and her husband, Jack.  She also survives her two sisters, Anne White Ramay and Janet White Burkett.  Mrs. Franks is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Southaven, MS on Saturday, August 17, 2024.  Visitation will be at 1:00 PM and Chapel Service at 2:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Forest Hill Memorial Park, South in Memphis, TN.

The family wishes to express gratitude for those that helped care for Sissy in her later years.  Special thanks especially to Dr. Dan Zant and Juanita Tyson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or to the Dementia Society of America.
