Louvie Huff Ruark

Louvie Mae Huff Ruark, 91 of Bostwick, passed away on January 4, 2025.  She was born July 9, 1933 to the late, Lee and Ruth Christian Huff.  She was married to the late James Barrett Ruark, Sr.  Mrs. Ruark last worked for the Morgan County School system. 

Mrs. Ruark is survived by her children,  Barry Ruark(Elinor), Walter Ruark(Kim), Wanda Nance(Randall), Mike Ruark(Deborah), Terry Ruark(Gwen), Doug Ruark(Deanna) and Rick Ruark(Lisa).  She also leaves eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.  She also leaves one sister, Glenda “Sis” Gabrial.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Ruark and siblings, Ed Huff, Joe Huff, Gene Huff, Franklin (Bro) Huff, Vic Huff, Alice Pritchett and Hilda Colley. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  A private burial will be held at the Bostwick City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
