Laurice (Whittle) Trice

Laurice Whittle Trice, 89 of Madison, died on February 16, 2021.  Mrs. Trice was the daughter of the late, Arthur and Lottie Moody Whittle.  She was born in Griffin, GA on February 4, 1932.  She was married to the late Winfred Trice and worked at Carter’s Textile Mills in Griffin until she left there to help operate the family farm.  The Trice family moved to Madison in 1979.  They quickly became active in Beacon Heights Baptist Church.  Mrs. Trice was also very involved with Rutledge Academy for many years.

Mrs. Trice is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Trice.   She is survived by her children, Monisa Trice Smith & David, Judy Trice, Todd W. Trice & Donna and Stacy Trice.  Her grandchildren are Trevor Rankin, Lindsey Rankin, Alex Trice & Krista, Morgan Huff & Bryan and Chandler Trice.  She also leaves two sisters, Elsie Bishop and Dorothy Vining.  Among other survivors are nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Madison City Cemetery.
