Larry Barker Johnson

Mr. Larry Barker Johnson of Madison died July 24, 2022.  He was the son of George and Lorene Barker Johnson.  He was married to his wife of 56 years, Virginia J. Johnson.  He retired from Gulf Oil and was a longtime member of Centennial Baptist Church.  Larry enjoyed yard work.  He was a volunteer at the Morgan County Schools for many years.  He was a Cub Scout leader and a loving father and grandfather.

Larry Johnson is survived by his wife, Virginia and a son, Bart Johnson (Tracey).  His grandchildren are Brittany, Braxton and James Johnson.  He also leaves siblings, Anne Ledbetter, Joyce DePiero (Michael) and Ray Johnson.  He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28 at A.E. Carter Funeral Home from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.  The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM in the chapel.  Interment will follow at the Centennial Baptist Church Cemetery.
