Julie (Wood) Phillips

Julie Mae Wood Phillips, 67 of Rutledge, passed away on May 31, 2026 in Athens.  Julie was the daughter of the late, Herbert and Margie Potter Wood.  She was born August 15, 1958 in Athens.  She lived in Morgan County most of her life.  Julie was married to Billy Phillips.  She was a long-time member of  Brownwood Baptist Church and caregiver to numerous children.  She loved her family, church, Morgan County.

Julie Phillips is survived by her husband, Billy as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.  Julie was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, Sandy Wood and Sonny Wood.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Brownwood Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Brownwood Baptist Church 1521 Thankful Road Madison, GA 30650.
