Obituary

Joseph James Houston passed away on April 19th after a courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born August 16, 1949 to Joseph and Kathleen Houston in Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Brock University in 1972. He then worked for Toronto Dominion bank for 25 years. Joe and his wife Joy owned and operated The Creative Mark, Inc. in Madison for over 20 years. Joe loved hockey and played in his younger days. He was a proud Canadian by birth and became a proud American citizen in 1994. More than anything, he loved his family. He bragged on each of his children and their accomplishments. His love for his family filled every minute of his life. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joyce (Lord) Houston, his son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Lisa Houston of Lilburn, and his daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Nicholas Judy of Winder. He is also survived by his brother Ernie, and his sisters Marjorie and Doreen (Kees), all of Ontario, Canada. He will be missed by all his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joe's name to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (https://www.ccalliance.org). A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
