John Donald Thompson

John Donald Thompson (Duck), 80 of Buckhead, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Born on August 12, 1941 he was the son of George Thompson and Stella King Thompson.  Donald was a native of Morgan County, GA and retired from Morgan County Roads and Bridges.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane Jeffares Thompson; daughter, Dana Becknell (Tommy); granddaughter Lacey Ruark (Tyler); great grandchildren Sawyer Ruark and Beretta Ruark; sister Madge Brake of Manchester, TN.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at A.E. Carter Funeral Home from 1-3 PM.
