John Nathan Davies

John Nathan “Butch” Davies, 71, of Rutledge, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025. Born on December 19, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, to John and Mary Davies, Butch was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Montie Jo Davies; daughters Allison Goggans (Gabe) and Jodie Anderson (Blake); and four grandchildren, Preston, Eliot, Charlsie, and Wright, who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A former police officer and realtor in Conyers, Georgia, Butch was known for his quick wit and deep love for his family and friends. He had a passion for music and motorcycles, and his personality left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Butch loved nothing more than being surrounded by his loved ones, and he will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 AM at Rutledge Methodist Church.
