Jo Ann Copeland Edenfield

Mrs. Jo Ann Edenfield of Mansfield, GA, passed away on June 4, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Huey and Claudie Bell Grant Copeland.  Mrs. Edenfield was born December 8, 1945 in Wrightsville, GA.  She grew up in Swainsboro and married Jimmy R. Edenfield.  They made their home in Conyers for many years.  Mrs. Edenfield retired from IBM where she worked as a business analyst.  She loved all activities outdoors, including working in her flower gardens.  She enjoyed decorating, shopping and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.  Since retiring to Morgan County, she was a member of Centennial Baptist Church.

Jo Ann Edenfield is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jimmy Edenfield.  She also leaves two children, Shawn Edenfield and his wife Julie of Rutledge, Georgia, and Tonya Chelette and her husband Chris of Alpharetta, Georgia.  Her grandchildren are Jake and Josh Edenfield and Brayden and Mason Chelette.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 7, 2021 at A.E. Carter Funeral Home from 1-2 PM.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 PM.  Grave side services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 1 PM at Mount Shady Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Swainsboro, GA.
