Jimmy O’Neal Moore, 72 of Madison, died January 28, 2021. Mr. Moore was born in Oneonta, Alabama on November 29, 1948, to James Martin Moore and Ovada Phillips Moore. After graduation, he joined the Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning from the war, he married Ruth Ann Cole Moore. He remained married to her for 42 years, until her death in 2013. He was a member of Freedom Worship Center. He loved to sing and play guitar. He enjoyed watching football and piddling in his yard. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife Pat G. Moore and his daughters, Olivia Moore, Stefanie Murray & Kevin and Nikki Guinn & Curtis. Step children are Malena Gabhart, Tammy Moore & Jimmy, Joel Gabhart & Amy and Timothy Gabhart. Grandchildren are Julia (Shane) Livingston, Cheyenne (John) McMillian, Dakota (Hunter) Cochran, Nathan Murray, Brooklynne Guinn, Colton Guinn, Lexie Murray, Dalton Guinn, Sutton Guinn, Aspyn Guinn, McClayne Guinn and Baby T. Guinn. Step grandchildren are McKenzie Moore, Austin Moore, Gabin Gabhart and Alexis Gabhart.
The family will gather on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 4-6 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 1 PM at Freedom Worship Center. The interment will be at the Buckhead City Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at indoor gatherings is limited to 50 people.
Pallbearers are Nathan Murray, Colton Guinn, John McMillian, Adam Armistead, David Daniel and Steve Moore. Dalton Guinn will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
