Jessie Comans Obituary

Jessie peacefully passed away on 2/22/2019 with her children and grandson by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Jessie Davenport Comans was born on 1/24/1936 in Blue Ridge, GA to William and Annie Davenport and was the eldest of eleven children. She is preceded in death by her son Robert Comans and sisters Geraldine Savage and Frankie Roddy.

Jessie was always proud to share with others that she was a school bus driver for Rockdale county schools for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and sewing and so talented around house. One day could include cooking 3 meals, mending cloths, changing the oil in her Dodge minivan and fixing a neighbors lawn mower. She never met a stranger and loved everyone.

She is survived by her husband Louie B Comans, her two sons Randy Comans (Darlene) and Terry Comans (Jennifer), daughter Lisa Phares (Tom) and grandson Garrett Phares (Heather) and siblings Janie, Bonnie, Elvin, Glen, Troy, Johnny, Audrey and Gary.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 1-3PM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 3PM in the chapel.  Interment will follow at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
