Jerry Martin Carpenter

Jerry Martin Carpenter, 69 of Madison, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022.  Mr. Carpenter was the son of Lester and Georgie Mae Lynch Carpenter.  He was born in Buckhead on August 13, 1952.  Jerry spent his entire life in Morgan County.  He had worked as a farm manager.  Jerry enjoyed fishing and reading and loved his sports cars.

Jerry Carpenter leaves one daughter, Deidre Crowell and Justin.  His grandchildren are Aaron, Thomas, Harper, Max, Frankie, Winter and Carmen.  He also leaves nieces and nephews, Lori Ghann and Wayne, Kim Johnson and Rusty, Tina Knight and Matt, Luke Wilkins and Emily and Mark Wilkins and Carrie.  He also leaves many great-nieces and nephews.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents as well as sisters, Harriet Young, Cathy Jones and Millie Henson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29 from 10-11 AM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 11 AM in the chapel.  Interment will follow at the Buckhead City Cemetery.
