Jennie Christian

Jennie James Christian, 67 years old of Madison, passed away on February 24th after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born May 23, 1955 to the late Albert (Al) & Connie James in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by Wayne B Christian, her husband of 48 years. They married on August 24, 1974 at the Madison Presbyterian Church. She is survived by their three children; Kerrie Christian Jenkins & James, Shawn “Bo” Christian & Lori, and Lauren Christian Massey & Luke. Her three grandchildren are Kaitlyn Fielding, Hunter Massey, and Cody Massey. Her surviving siblings are, Beckie James Hawk & nephews Brian & Scott Petersen, and sister Marcie James Chapman & nephew Ben Grantham & niece Jamie Grantham Redd.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Albert (Al) C. James formerly of Nashville, TN, and Cornelia (Connie) Bullard James formerly of Machen, Ga (Jasper Co). Jennie retired from real estate in 2012, after long career with NBC Realty in Madison, Ga. Jennie loved meeting new people and showing them there new community to call home.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the graveside at the Town of Buckhead Cemetery, with Preacher James Jenkins conducted the celebration of life. In lieu of flowers , the family ask that a donation to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
