Janice (Hinton) Whitaker

Janice Marie Hinton Whitaker, 82 of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the daughter of the late, Otis and Wilbur Dial Hinton.  She was married to Lee Whitaker.  Mrs. Whitaker was retired from Pennington Seed, where she worked for over 30 years.  She was a long time member of Sewell Methodist Church.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Whitaker rarely missed a sporting event that involved her children and grandchildren.  

Janice Whitaker is survived by her husband, Lee and their children, Rodney Whitaker & Laura, Ryan Whitaker, Royce Whitaker & Sherry and Becky Almand & Bart.  She also leaves grandchildren Wade Whitaker & Kate, Blake Whitaker & Brittany and Darcie Whitaker.  She leaves five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a brother, Wayne Hinton.  Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by Cole Whitaker, Bobby Hinton and Willie Hinton.

The family of Janice Whitaker will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3 from 1-2 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 2 pm in the chapel.  Graveside services will follow at Sewell Church Cemetery.
