Janice Lynn Richardson

Janice Lynn Richardson, age 72, passed away on March 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on September 21, 1951, Janice was known for her gentle spirit and warm smile.

A dedicated mother and volunteer, Janice spent her life nurturing her children, Jimmy C. Stapp, Jr., and Kimberly Denise Shoffner, with unwavering devotion. She found joy in her hobbies of knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, and puzzling using her skills to create beautiful works of art and comfort for others.

Janice's generous heart extended beyond her family, as she selflessly volunteered at Athens Regional Hospital, where she knitted caps for patients and premature newborns, bringing warmth and comfort to those in need.

She is survived by her beloved children, her father, Usher Richardson, her sister, Brenda Davis, and her brother, Lee Richardson. Janice's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral Services are planned for 11:00am Wednesday March 20, 2024. There will be a 30 minute visitation period at the church prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Foundation - www.cmta.org - continuing her legacy of compassion and generosity. Janice's light will continue to shine brightly through the memories and lives she touched.
