Miss Janett Wanda Jordan, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday November 13, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Jordan and her mother, Lorene Miller Jordan. She is survived by two sisters, Debbie McClain (Charles) and Robbi Jordan; a niece, Allison Thompson (Greg) and a nephew, Charlie McClain (Tania); three great nieces, Ellie and Mia McClain, and Aliza Thompson; one great nephew, Will Thompson, all of Madison.
Janett was a life-long resident of Morgan County. She graduated from Morgan County High School in 1975 and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. For the majority of her career, she was a Cost Accountant at Wellington Leisure Products and in the latter part, she worked at the Morgan County Tax Commissioners Office. Janett was an active member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Madison where she loved to sing in the choir. She was a servant at heart who faithfully served the Lord in many capacities. She was known for her infectious laughter and her kindness to others. She treasured her family more than anything else in life.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 17 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church at 11 AM with Pastor Butch Lee and Pastor Kenny Ridling officiating. Interment followed at the Buckhead City Cemetery.
