Richard Jackson (Jack) Frost, 75, of Rutledge, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born October 9, 1945 in Gasden, Alabama to William Dewey Frost, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Sims Frost. He grew up in Gasden, Alabama and he attended Emma Samson High where he ran track and played football and basketball. He moved to Georgia in 1965. Jack was married to Jill Gresham Frost for 35 years. He was a mechanic by trade and loved genealogy and history. He was also an avid Auburn football fan and spent many hours following Auburn recruiting and watching games. Jack also enjoyed hunting for deer and raccoons and fishing.
Jack is survived by his wife, Jill Frost and his children: Phyllis (Ken) Lockaby of Perry, Georgia, Andy (Denise) Frost of Rutledge, Georgia, Jack (Lori) Frost of Buckhead, Georgia, Beth Frost of Macon, Georgia, Brent (Amy) Roberts of Bend, Oregon, and Jeremy (Tanya) Roberts of Blackhawk, South Dakota. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Taylor Pierson, Brandon and Brenna Lockaby, Brantley, Garrett, Sawyer, Carson, Reilly and Madison Frost, Hannah, Everett, Chase, Jason, Gavin and Agnes Roberts as well as his brothers W.D. (Corky) Frost and Robert Frost. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lloyd Frost.
The family will receive visitors at A.E. Carter Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held in the Chapel there on Friday, February 19th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Rutledge Cemetery.
