JACK HALL DICKSON
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jack Hall Dickson. Born in Morgan County, Georgia, in 1934, he passed away surrounded by loved ones at home on July 25, 2025.
Jack was the son of Hoyt and Gwendolyn Dickson of Rutledge and is predeceased by a brother, David Dickson, a sister, Dorothy Sells, and his beloved wife of 42 years, Cynthia Dickson. He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Fitzgerald and his five children: Jeff Dickson, Gail Belden, Russ Dickson, Yvonne Dixon, and Greg Dickson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jack was known for his gentle nature, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He was a man of strong faith and instilled in his children the importance of family, hard work, and integrity.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the AE Carter Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Centennial Baptist Church located at 5321 Brownwood Road in Rutledge, Georgia. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, GA.
