Hoyt Smith, a beloved husband, father, and Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on April 8th at age 81. He was born in Hall County, to Paul and Louise Smith on September 6, 1941. He has joined his loving wife, Polly, in eternal rest.
Hoyt had many different professions, but he spent the last 20 years driving a bus for Morgan County School System. He was well-respected in his field and known for his dedication to the community. He was actively involved in his church and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a kind and generous spirit that touched the lives of many.
Hoyt enjoyed spending time with family and hanging out with his Waffle House friends. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm personality, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Hoyt is survived by his siblings Gene Smith & Shirley, Emma Miller, and George Smith, and his two sons, Luke Smith & Cindy, and Louis Smith & Kristi. He has seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten by family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 9-11 at AE Carter Funeral Home in Madison Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to A.E Carter to offset funeral expenses.
