The Brown family grew up in Morgan County. As a child, Mrs. Hattie would pick cotton and tend the garden among many other typical rural life duties. She married William “Big Bill” Bonner in 1949. They had two children, William “Little Bill” and Penny. They lived a happy, active life in Buckhead. They went on to open Bonners Triple “B” Restaurant in 1971, where Mrs. Hattie remained active and hands on, well into her later years. Mrs. Hattie or “Me-Maw” loved her family and her church and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, housekeeper, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a dedicated servant to the Lord and had amazing faith.
