Glenda Carole Eason Parker, 86 of Madison passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born January 21, 1939 in Grantville, GA.
Glenda was a devoted school teacher for 35 years and a graduate of Mercer University. A woman of deep faith, she was a devout Christian who found joy in singing in the choir. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her son, Al Parker; daughter-in-law, Joan; seven grandchildren, Jenna, Brent, Eryn, Derren, Katy, Kari and Ava; three great-grandchildren, Kalli, Blakely and Brynlee; one sister, June Sorrells, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Alton Leonard Parker, Sr. and her daughter, Jeanie Parker McGiboney.
Visitation will be held at A.E. Carter Funeral home on Tuesday, June 10 from 5:00-7:00 pm. A private family burial service will follow in Jeffersonville, GA on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Glenda had a passion for teaching children to read. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library or to a charity of your choice.
