Felix James Phillips passed to his heavenly home on November 15, 2022 in the presence of his immediate family. Born in Colquitt, GA on August 29, 1939 to his mother, Mattie Addis Todd Phillips and his father John Berry Phillips who predeceased him. Attended Miller County schools, married and had three daughters, Felicia Jane Phillips (Jane Vesper), Tera Denene Phillips Barrett (Chris) and Staci Lynn Phillips Dye(Mac). He is survived by his six grandchildren, Halston Barrett Parks (Cody), Malcolm Dye, Colt Barrett, Charleston Barrett Tew (Austin, Hadli Barett, and Clark Barrett; by his two great grandchildren Harper James Parks and Hazel Ray Parks. He is also survived by one sister, Zella Rouse of Jacksonville, FL. His brother-in-law Millard Rouse, brother Charles Lynwood Phillips(Sharon) are deceased. He is of the Baptist faith and remains a member of Lake Country Church. Buddy as he was known by family and friends retired from Alltel Phone Company and was blessed with 22 years of retirement. On March 19, 1978 he married Dorothy Jean McRee and was married for 44 years. He moved to the farm where he raised cattle and baled hay. He was an avid square dance caller and called for 35 years. Pallbearers were Tim McRee, Greg McRee, Kenny Lumpkin, Cody Parks, Mac Dye and Chris Barrett. Funeral services were at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment was at Buckhead Cemetery.
